This is a elected position that serves as the "People's Court". This court monitors small claims, civil matters, up to $7,000 misdemeanor and traffic offenses, and domestic matters. The Justice of the Peace may also perform civil wedding ceremonies.

The Whealtand County Senior Citizens Center has a very active program including meals at the center and delivered to homes, a senior van, health screenings, crafts and pinochle.


Wheatland County Information

Wheatland County is managed by a 3 member board of County Commissioners who are elected for six year terms. Various department heads are elected officials. The county employs cemetery maintenance and a road crew.

Emergency Services
Wheatland County Ambulance Service is a staffed by nationally certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) Two ambulances are in service, and air ambulance service is available on-call from Billings or Great Falls.

Residential Services
Wheatland Memorial Healthcare/Bair Memorial Clinic includes a 25 bed Critial Access Hospital, emergency room services , and radiology/lab.

Wheatland County Senior Center provides meal delivery, socialization, and shuttle service to Billings appointments.
