![]() The Wheatland County Fair and Festival brings together the county youth fair at the Howard Holloway Arena and Fairgrounds and a festival in Chief Joseph Park on the first weekend of August. Youth get the chance to show their animals and all ages bring out their crafts and homemade goodies. A livestock sale is held on Saturday afternoon followed by a barbecue steak dinner. The Fair and Festival is topped off by a concert in the arena. In 2005, thanks to The Harlowton Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture locals were treated to a performance by Wylie and the Wild West. In 2006, the Chamber brought Patricia Ryan and Dakota Country to the Howard Holloway Stage. Jason DeShaw, singing and jawing his Country Way, was the highlight of the gorgeous summer evening. Jason bowed out to Patricia after a rousing, standing ovation. |
